Michelle G. Mattison started her accounting career with the Detroit office of Arthur Andersen & Co. as an auditor after graduating from Old Dominion University. After several years, though, Michelle returned to Virginia where her family lived.

At first, Michelle struggled to find employment that utilized the skills she gained as a professional and provided fair compensation for her knowledge. Her desire was to help small businesses since there were not a lot of large businesses in southeastern Virginia. To fulfill that desire, she started MGM Financial Services, PC as a home-based business and has never left.

MGM Financial Services has been operating since 1994 and has served hundreds of clients conducting business for millions of dollars. Her clients included personal and business tax clients, planning and consulting clients, review and audit projects, annuity and life insurance clients, as well as volunteering for non-profit boards.

After 29 years in business, it is apparent to even the most casual observer, that Michelle is fulfilling her professional desires by helping her clients, family, and friends plan for retirement through accurate accounting, tax filing, insurance protection, tax saving annuities and even doing seminars on the proper utilization of social security.
